Eucharistic Miracles
Blessed Carlo Acutis Exhibition
Our parish has been blessed to further learn about God’s great love and mercy through the Bl. Carlo Acutis exhibition which has been with us these past few weeks (1st -16 February 2025).
Through his life the soon to be Saint displayed a spirit of courage and love for the Lord that we can all aspire to imitate.
Students from St. Thomas’ Primary enjoyed an educational visit to the exhibition and an inspiring talk by Mike Delaney about the Eucharistic miracles, the life of Bl. Carlo Acutis and the love of God that inspired him to create his website documenting these miracles.
As seen in the photo below, the exhibition was accompanied by an excellent portrait of Bl. Carlo Acutis - created by local artist Wendy Steyn.
This past Sunday the exhibition was brought to a close with Adoration and Benediction, followed by refreshments in the parish centre and another talk by Mike Delaney - we thank him, Colleen, and all who were involved in the organisation of this exhibition.
A video about the life of Bl. Carlo Acutis was also shown, the link to which will soon be available on our parish website along with the link for the website created by Carlo himself, in which he documented the Eucharistic miracles.
The exhibition now travels on, with St. Mary’s in Croydon as its next destination, so if you missed it in our parish, there is still an opportunity to see it there. It will also be at Aylesford Friary on 7th June, and afterwards at St Georges Cathedral.
Bl. Carlo Acutis will become the first millennial Saint. He is to be canonized on the 27th April this year.
May the life of this young Saint remind us all of the great gift that is the Eucharist - the True Presence of Christ. May our hearts be ever open to receiving His grace and may we treat the Blessed Sacrament with reverence, humility and love.
“The Eucharist is the highway to Heaven” - Bl. Carlo Acutis
